OVERVIEW

Brendon Burns
What can we say about Brendan Burns? He once got banned from BBC live for snogging a goat live on air; he handed out enough mushrooms at the Glastonbury festival to get a thousand people high because Bill Hicks and John Lennon talked about it but didn't; he wrote a trilogy that sent him clinically mad and he was committed to mental institution; he walked off the set of "I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here NOW" live on air after just three days, and Britain's most controversial comedian makes his tenth Edinburgh appearance in his most controversial show yet.
We all wish we lived in a world without racism, sexism, homophobia and of course, Chinese lesbians don't we? In a world where unaccountability and scape-goating is not only the norm but seemingly admired, one man has the courage to put his hand up and say, "Hey I make mistakes and here's an hour of them". As well as "Can someone please tell me where I left my car...oh never mind there it is..." and, "can we sit outside? I wanna catch the light while we can". That man is Brendon Burns.
Yet another brand new hour of stand up from the most refreshingly honest comedian of his generation. Where he talks openly on every sensitive issue of this modern era and perhaps sheds some light on how humanity may even get on better together. All in his characteristic uncompromising, definitively Burnsy style that Edinburgh has come to know and love*
*Disclaimer: not everyone in Edinburgh knows and/or loves him
