Complicite present a new production of Samuel Becketts classic play Endgame directed by Simon McBurney with Mark Rylance in London this autumn for 78 performances only. Opens 2nd October 2009
In Beckett’s one act play the aged and blind Hamm (Mark Rylance) and his servant Clov (Simon McBurney) co-exist in a mutually dependent and fractious relationship, with only Hamm’s parents, Nell (Miriam Margolyes) and Nagg, legless from a biking accident for company.
Directed by Simon McBurney, Design by Tim Hatley, Sound by Gareth Fry, Costumes by Christina Cunningham and lighting by Paul Anderson, the production plays at the Duchess Theatre from 2nd October until 5 December.
