Matt Forde (Spitting Image, Have I Got News For You, The Royal Variety Performance, Mock the Week and Question Time) brings his hugely successful podcast ‘The Political Party’ to London’s Duchess Theatre. At each show Matt will be joined by a different political heavyweight. Previous guests include Tony Blair, Julia Gillard, Anthony Scaramucci, Nicola Sturgeon, Sadiq Khan, Jeffrey Archer, Jess Phillips, Margaret Beckett, Michael Heseltine, Sayeeda Warsi, Edwina Currie and Ken Clarke.

The guest for Monday 27 September is Andy Burnham. Andy Burnham is the Mayor of Greater Manchester and one of the most powerful Labour politicians in the country. Health Secretary in Gordon Brown’s Cabinet, he stood for the Labour Leadership in 2010 and 2015. Since becoming Mayor in 2017 he has been a muscular and outspoken voice for the north of England, resisting restrictions placed on Manchester by both the Westminster and Scottish governments. Popular with Labour members, he is seen as a potential future leader of the party.

The Political Party Podcast is regularly in the Top 10 comedy podcasts and has hit over 6 million downloads. The show was recently listed by ‘Mace Magazine’ as the Number 1 Political Podcast in the UK and by ‘The i’ newspaper as one of the 50 Greatest Podcasts.
